As a native Tuscan, I painted this San Gimignano oil painting on canvas inspired by the famous “City of Beautiful Towers” rising above the Val d’Elsa. Originally featuring 72 towers, walking through its historic streets and taking in the breathtaking views from Torre Grossa is an endless source of poetic inspiration for me, capturing the timeless magic of this medieval dreamscape.

Hand-painted using a palette knife and my signature heavy impasto technique, I sculpted rich, vibrant layers of oil paint to balance the warm, poppy-filled fields in the foreground with the iconic skyline in the distance.
