I painted this original Positano oil painting following my recent trip to the Amalfi Coast. Although I have visited Positano countless times over the years, I found myself once again completely captivated by the view of the iconic golden church dome standing proudly against the shimmering blue Mediterranean and the colorful houses cascading down the cliffside.

Hand-painted using a palette knife and my signature heavy impasto technique, I sculpted thick, expressive layers of oil paint to bring out the rich architectural details and the vibrant blooms in the foreground. The warm, luminous colors make this church dome and coastal view a breathtaking piece that brings the authentic joy, charm, and sunshine of an Italian summer straight into your home.
