I painted this original Tuscany lavender oil painting en plein air in Massarosa during June, a special yearly ritual I deeply cherish. Standing right among the purple rows, I immersed myself in the intoxicating fragrance while listening to bees and insects buzzing from flower to flower. I wanted to translate this rich sensory experience and the luminous summer atmosphere straight onto the canvas with real passion.

Hand-painted using a spatulated palette knife and my signature heavy impasto technique, I sculpted thick, textured layers of oil paint to bring the vibrant purple rows and rustic farmhouse to life.
