I painted this original Tuscany coastal oil painting inspired by a spent day along the rocky coast of my hometown, Livorno. Watching the vibrant turquoise and emerald sea crash against the dark cliffside, I was captivated by the dynamic contrast of the white foam sparkling in the coastal light.

Hand-painted using a palette knife and my signature heavy impasto technique, I sculpted thick, expressive layers of oil paint to give tangible texture to the rugged rocks and the cresting waves.
